Bharat Diamond Week [BDW], world’s biggest
polished Diamond and Diamond Jewellery show.
The ‘only Diamond’ show will open on the 5th of
August and will run till the 7th of August 2020 in
Mumbai, India. BDW in its fourth edition is
anticipated to be an important event for the
International Diamond sector and is pitted to be a
game changer for the segment that has been
witnessing a slow down lately. Over 150+ Large,
medium and small sized diamond companies would
be displaying highest of quality polished diamonds
during the fair. BDW will also play host to
thousands of International and local buyers
travelling to the show. There are over 2000 diamond
companies within the Bharat Diamond Bourse and
“every buyer will have a unique opportunity to tour
the marvellous Diamond Bourse and visit the office of his / her potential seller
who can supply them with
absolutely any Diamond
they need in any shape, size
or color” said Mr Anoop
Mehta, President of Bharat
Diamond Bourse.
Over centuries, India has
been enjoying a leadership
status when it comes to
Diamond and Diamond
production. In fact the first
Diamond ever mined was
in India and the art of
cutting and polishing has
been transferred over
generations so much so
that today India cuts and
polishes over 99% of Diamonds mined anywhere in the world. No wonder
when India puts up a ‘Diamond only’ show such as
the BDW, it has to be a “never to be missed” event.
Mr Evgeny Agureev Director of Alrosa’s united
selling organisation had
said, “India was the first to
have cut and polished
diamonds and India by far is
the world’s largest cut and
polishing centre for
diamonds”
Mr Mehul Shah , Vice
President, BDB said ,
“Bharat Diamond bourse is
housing more than 2000
Diamond and allied
companies that in itself is
the engine for the Diamond
economy of the world.
Bharat Diamond Week is an
effort by the bourse to also
encourage the small and
medium sized companies
who are bourse members, to
display their produce and
avail of the subsidies
offered by Bharat Diamond
Week and maybe transfer
the same to their
customers”. “This will only
help build their respective
businesses and will give an
excellent opportunity to the ‘BUYERS’ to avail
exciting offers and services during the show; as over
the last three editions BDW has seen a huge number
of buyers of polished diamonds take advantage of
special offers and other services” he adds.
Bharat Diamond Week is being organised alongside
the India International Jewellery show [IIJS] 2020 in
Mumbai and gives all the visitors and buyers an
opportunity to attend the IIJS show as well during
their visit. Bharat Diamond Bourse has also made sure of world class transportation to ply the visitors
and buyers between the BDW and the IIJS. Fabulous
offers, globally acclaimed services and most
importantly witnessing the largest variety of
Diamonds under a single platform are some
of the salient features of the Bharat Diamond
Week 2020. As some of the committee
members of the show said, “Bharat Diamond
Week [BDW] is destined to build the profit
graph of every buyer’s business for the year
2020 and beyond”.
