Fast, accurate analysis of precious metals on the spot SPECTROSCOUT

Jewelers, recyclers, and refiners of precious metals and alloys require elemental analytical capabilities that fit their challenging business conditions. Affordability is always key.

Small operators have comparatively little cash for equipment. Larger concerns face constant pressure to keep costs low and profits high.

However, affordability must still buy good performance. Percentages of gold, silver, and other precious metal alloys must be determined quickly and accurately, so that advantageous deals can be struck.

Finally, analytical equipment must suit the site. It should be small enough for portability and for crowded workspaces, and easy to use by jewelry shop and recycling personnel with wide variations in education and training.

Now there is a proven, onsite solution providing laboratory-class results that are affordable, fast, and easy. The new SPECTROSCOUT analyzer is the assay lab that goes anywhere.

SPECTROSCOUT PORTABLE ENERGY DISPERSIVE X-RAY FLUORESCENCE (ED-XRF) ANALYZER

SPECTROSCOUT incorporates much of the elemental analytical power of advanced benchtop laboratory XRF analyzers like the SPECTRO MIDEX, while approaching the easy portability of a SPECTRO xSORT handheld instrument. Thus SPECTROSCOUT is the instrument to deliver fast, dependable, truly lab-quality results on the spot - all at surprisingly low cost.

FAMILIAR INTERFACE The SPECTROSCOUT is operated by a touchscreen interface with simple displays and only two menu levels. Intuitive design increases user ease and productivity.

EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE

SPECTROSCOUT provides precision and accuracy at a wide range of concentration levels, typically present in precious metals alloys. It also offers rapid (30-300 second) readout. First results are already displayed after a few seconds. Its per formance makes SPECTROSCOUT a superb choice for small shops or portable use, or an ideal backup system for larger operations.

EXCELLENT EASE OF USE

Simplied software supplies a touchscreen interface and predened application packages. Unique iCAL calibration takes just 1 sample and only 5 minutes for standardization. Light weight (11 kg/24.25 lb) and small size (270 x 306 x 306 mm/10.7 x 12.1 x 12.1 in) provide a compact footprint and easy portability. An integrated video system helps to offer 1 mm spot testing for precise evaluation of mixed alloys.

COMPETITIVE COST

The SPECTROSCOUT analyzer’s purchase price is highly competitive with other instruments in its class. Most of all, its fast, accurate results enable jewelry assayers and recyclers to make precise assessments in minimal time-helping them maximize ongoing protability.
