TechnoVision

In an exclusive to JTM M L Vaidya, Director Technovision, shares the growth graph of the company and elaborates on his latest offerings to the manufacturing sector through International partnerships.

TechnoVision established in 2003 by three professionals with long experience across streams & industries, with the aim to implement the latest & advanced technology from across the globe to India in no time. While doing so it was our erstwhile effort to ensure that the advanced technology should be molded in such a way that a non-technical person can also operate the same with ease. TechnoVision’s domain is in the field of CAD, CAM, RE & CAE, for which we have developed relations with companies from USA, Europe, Far-East Asia & Canada. With two offices in Mumbai and a state of art Reverse Engineering Studio in Goregaon are catering to clients’ needs across the industries & country with the help of channel partners, providing the latest and advanced technological marvels in the CAD, CAM, CAE & RE domain. Our list of clients include corporates, PSU’s, Government & Semi- Government bodies, Institutions, DRDO & ISRO & even the Freelancers. Pioneers in introducing the CAD & CAM technology to the Jewelry Industry. Introduced the first FDM machine in the Jewelry Industry & educated the industry by catering services for the first 4 years. Shifted the focus to the selling technology thereafter. Presently we represent Sharebot s.r.l., Gravotech, DWS s.r.l., Materialise, Ansys for the Jewelry sector.

  • On Web Based Remote Accessibility

  • It’s a simple wifi based access that we have provided to the machine. So you can give the print command from wherever you are.

  • What is your take on the future of 3D Printing technology for the Gems & Jewellery industry & will it lead to over production effecting the market dynamics with respect to pricing.

  • There’s lot of R & D happening in 3D Printing across the world and India is not far. With the governments Make in India policy Indian Entrepreneurs and their foreign partners are gearing up and are ready to take the challenge. The importance of CAD, CAM technology in the jewelry industry is at an infant stage as of date. Today hardly 25% of the total industry has shifted to sCAD, CAM, the rest has to eventually shift in the coming years. With the development & improvement the technology shall be easily accessible & affordable to common man. Today technology development is on fast track, a situation shall come where in the industry shall invest in latest technology & discard the old one year on year basis. This is possible when technology shall be affordable which happens with R&D & government support. We expect a lot of players entering the segment, this shall change the market dynamics which shall make the technology affordable to the users, and shall be healthy to the market. The other important & crucial point is the slowing down of China economy, India shall be the best bet for most of the other developed countries.

  • On International Partnerships and product offerings

  • TehnoVision is the outcome of a thought to make available to the Indian Industry the latest and advanced technology developed globally, in the field of CAD, CAM, CAE & RP. In the last decade we have introduced many products across the industries, following are the products we introduced in the Jewelry Industry :

    • In 2006 tied up with Gravotech a French company & launched 3DESIGN CAD software for any type of jewelry with free form sketching & rendering available in-built. 3DESIGN is being used by large corporates, exporter and small business enterprises along with the freelancers. Few pioneer Institutes also use & train on 3DESIGN.

    • In 2008 tied up with DWS s.r.l. Italy to introduce the most advanced DigitalWax Rapid Prototype Machine developed on SLA technology. With different bed sizes was possible to meet the requirement of smaller enterprises. TechnoVision was the first to introduce these machines without AMC in India. Have installations across India.

    • In 2011 tied up with Materialise Malasia, to introduce the auto support software useful for the DegitalWax machine users.

    • In 2015 tied up with Sharebot s.r.l. Italy to introduce the latest and most advance reasonably priced Voyager developed on the DLP technology. State of art technology very sleek & elegant looks, comes in a ready to use form & no calibration required. Best in the class in looks, performance & price.

  • On future product launches

  • We would like to be one of the key players in the progress & development India is going through. The market for 3D Printing technology is yet to mature and we expect the market to mature in the next coming years we are preparing ourselves to be present & well equipped at that point of time. In the 3D Printing segment we are closely working in the Research & Development in the SLA technology where in the thrust shall be to build a bigger platform say of around 250 mm X 250 mm but at a very affordable price. We have done a lot of progress on the same and hope to launch the product in the second quarter of 2016. We are also keen on getting the metal sintering machine but again with a reasonable platform size and affordable. We are always on a look out for the advanced and latest technology globally which is economically viable to get it to India.
