• The government of India has been successfully running the ‘Make In India’ campaign through the National Skill development Council. How important is this campaign according to you for the gems and jewellery industry of India?

I believe that it's extremely good and important initiative. The industry needs more skilled staff in order to stay competitive and continue to grow. That said I would like to see more results on the ground.


• Are you looking at expanding your laboratory related services in India? If yes please tell us about the same?

We constantly continue to grow, by expanding our services geographically trough out the country, as well as trying to saturate our existing markets by taking over full inventory certification of our existing customers.
I would like to remind that are much more than diamond laboratory, we offer educational services, we have a full fledged research department equipped with state of the art advanced instruments and highly professional staff.
Come July we also will offer gemstone identification services.


• Name some important features that GSI offers to trade that are incomparable in terms of grading and certification?

As I mentioned above GSI is one stop organization for all gemological needs. It's very important to remember that while we're truly global organization, we are and will be US company that maintains highest US standards in all our offices regardless of their geographical location.
